Four seats, one person
Most cars on the way to campus carry only their driver. That uses roughly four times the road space, fuel and parking the journey really needs.

The everyday commute
Picture the drive to work: colleagues heading to the same gate within the same ninety minutes, most of them alone, many on the very same roads. Nobody planned it this way. It is simply what happens when everyone travels separately.
8:45 am · On the way to campusOne gate. Ninety minutes. Thousands of cars already sharing a road.
Most cars on the way to campus carry only their driver. That uses roughly four times the road space, fuel and parking the journey really needs.
A colleague two streets away is heading to the same gate at the same time. The route is already shared; the car simply is not.
Each extra car adds minutes to everyone's journey, yet nobody can coordinate with the others. Chaloo makes that coordination effortless.
What if those empty seats went to the colleagues already on your road? That is the idea behind Chaloo.
Why Chaloo
Chaloo connects you with verified colleagues from your own organisation who already travel your route. Commuting together costs less than a cab, offers greater peace of mind than travelling with strangers and reduces congestion at the campus gate.
One platform serves many organisations, each with its own private network. Matching always stays within your organisation, a rule enforced by the system itself rather than by the app alone.
No need to book the day before. Plans made the previous evening often change, so Chaloo finds you a colleague in the minutes before you leave.

₹4 per kilometre, per seat, subject to a minimum fare and calculated from your actual pickup and drop-off points. Nobody sets prices by hand.
Dedicated safety features protect every rider, from the moment you are matched until you reach your destination.

What Chaloo charges
The published formula, and nothing more. No surge pricing, no wallet and no commission, at any hour of the day.
App-cab figures are estimates based on ₹90 for the first 5 km and ₹9 per km thereafter. They exclude surge and time charges, so the real difference at peak hours is usually greater.

Safety
For commuters in India, and for women in particular, safety decides whether a service can be used at all. Chaloo treats it as the foundation, not a feature.

Under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate
Chaloo is an initiative of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate and the Society for Cyberabad Security Council. When you raise an SOS, it goes straight to a dedicated police console as well as your organisation’s safety team, so help is never more than one tap away.
Step 1
Tap SOS
Available from the top bar on every screen.
Step 2
Confirm
A single confirmation prevents accidental alerts.
Step 3
Location shared
Your live location and ride details are attached.
Step 4
Police console alerted
The Cyberabad Police console and your organisation's safety team are notified at once.
Step 5
Acknowledged and resolved
Every alert is tracked until it is closed.
A female driver can choose to be matched with women passengers only. The preference applies only when the account holder is female, so it cannot be enabled speculatively.
Passengers see the driver's position, route and estimated arrival in real time, from the moment of the match until the journey ends.
Either person can block the other, and a blocked pair is never matched again. No explanation is required.
Every significant action is recorded with who performed it, whom it affected and what changed, so any incident can be reviewed accurately.
Chaloo reduces risk; it cannot remove it entirely. We would rather be clear about where the line is than let you discover it.
If your organisation requires background verification, it carries this out on its side, and Chaloo will report against it.
Fair matching
Most platforms keep their matching rules secret. Chaloo publishes its rule in full.
Waiting time carries the most weight by design, so a steady stream of more convenient passengers can never leave someone behind. A request that expires unmatched keeps its waiting time for the next attempt.

1 seat free · colleagues waiting on the route
Three colleagues are waiting. Each is scored on waiting time, detour and rating, and the highest score gets the seat.
Simplified illustration of the published weights: each factor is scaled from 0 to 1 before weighting (waiting up to 15 minutes, detour up to 5 km, rating out of 5).

Verified employees only.
Chaloo is available exclusively to employees of registered organisations. You sign in with your work email address, and your organisation and campus are linked to your account automatically. As there is no public registration, every person you travel with is a verified colleague.
It begins with a single conversation.
Ask your HR, facilities or transport team to contact us, or write to us directly through the contact page. We then configure your organisation's campuses, administrators and safety team, and support you in introducing the programme to employees.
